Auspicious Tibetan Vajrapani Sungkhor Protection Butti Amulet
Sungkhors are protective charms/buttis/amulets that contain miniature figures of specific deities folded into many folds and intricately hand woven by nylon five element colors Red, Blue, White, Orange and Green thread in mandala outline designs stipulated by Vajrayana texts of the specific deities. Although all enlightened deities are prefect in their blessing qualities, each deity is often associated with a different enlightened quality.
This Auspicious Sungkhor Butti or Amulet features the image of Vajrapani. Vajrapani is an important bodhisattva who embodies the spiritual power of all the Buddhas. His name means “wielder of the thunderbolt” and he protects those who walk the Mahayana path, removing all inner, outer and secret obstacles from their practice. Enlightened aeons ago, Vajrapani is said to have incarnated as one of Buddha Shakyamuni’s primary disciples. He is often depicted along with fellow disciples Manjushri (the embodiment of the Buddhas’ wisdom) and Avalokiteshvara (the embodiment of the Buddhas’ compassion). Together these three bodhisattvas comprise the three factors of Buddha-nature and the three necessary ingredients for enlightenment. Vajrapani symbolizes fierce determination and unbending intent in the unrelenting battle against negativity.
This Sungkhor / Butti / Amulet is designed as a handy pocket sized which can be fit into a wallet or purse so that one can carry where ever he/she goes and can be worn around the neck as a pendant or could also be hanged on the doors or cars. This amulet is hand made by the experienced artisans of Nepal who have been in the business for many years.
