Auspicious Tibetan Manjushree Sungkhor Protection Butti Amulet
Sungkhors are protective charms/buttis/amulets that contain miniature figures of specific deities folded into many folds and intricately hand woven by nylon five element colors Red, Blue, White, Orange and Green thread in mandala outline designs stipulated by Vajrayana texts of the specific deities. Although all enlightened deities are prefect in their blessing qualities, each deity is often associated with a different enlightened quality.
This Auspicious Sungkhor Butti or Amulet features the image of Manjushree. Manjushree embodies the omniscient wisdom of enlightenment – the wisdom that discerns the true nature of reality. He can discriminate between correct and incorrect views and between beneficial and non-beneficial actions to be taken on one’s spiritual path. He bestows intelligence, knowledge, wisdom, mastery of the teachings, eloquence and memory. His name means “gentle glory” and he is especially revered in Nepal, where he is said to have enabled the founding of civilization in the Kathmandu Valley. Manjushree is also the patron Bodhisattva of the Kadampa (i.e. Gelugpa) order of Tibetan Buddhism, which is famous for its master scholars, called geshes.
This Sungkhor / Butti / Amulet is designed as a handy pocket sized which can be fit into a wallet or purse so that one can carry where ever he/she goes and can be worn around the neck as a pendant or could also be hanged on the doors or cars. This amulet is hand made by the experienced artisans of Nepal who have been in the business for many years.
