Auspicious Tibetan 4 Armed Chenrezig Sungkhor Protection Butti Amulet
Sungkhors are protective charms/buttis/amulets that contain miniature figures of specific deities folded into many folds and intricately hand woven by nylon five element colors Red, Blue, White, Orange and Green thread in mandala outline designs stipulated by Vajrayana texts of the specific deities. Although all enlightened deities are prefect in their blessing qualities, each deity is often associated with a different enlightened quality.
This Auspicious Sungkhor Butti or Amulet features the image of 4 Armed Chenrezig, the Tibetan name for the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit who is renowned as the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas. The 4 Armed Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of compassion, holds over his heart a wish fulfilling gem. He is a Bodhisattva who embodies the compassion of all Buddhas and he is one of the more widely revered Bodhisattvas in mainstream Buddhism.
